Kerry Keene Lead Vocals & Guitar

Kerry first came to the conclusion that music was in his future - like so many others - when he saw the Beatles perform for the first time on The Ed Sullivan Show way back in 1964. After seeing how much fun it looked like they were having, he said "That's what I want to do." Eleven years later, after seeing Bruce Springsteen perform at the old Music Hall in Boston, he had another epiphany. If he could just harness that ability to make the crowd know that they were a crucial part of the whole experience - good fun would be had by all. After playing in a series of rock bands in the Brockton-Bridgewater-Taunton, Massachusetts area from the late 1970's to the early 2000's, he came to the conclusion that he should be paying tribute to the guys who started it all. In early 2007 he formed The Xeatles - a Beatles tribute band. From there, he branched out to paying tribute to the decade of his youth......the 60's.
Tiffany Leyda Lead Vocals & Percussion

Tiffany has loved music from the 60's since she was a child. Her parents listened to their favorites all the time (like the Beatles, Motown, and Psychedelic) and made the music come alive for her. Most of her singing experience has been with acoustic karaoke, where she has been singing her favorite songs live with guitarist, Mark Beauchemin, for years. Acoustic karaoke is also where she met the former lead female singer of the 60's, Kelly Cleveland. When Kelly told her of the opportunity to sing with the 60's band, it was something she couldn't pass up! After a fun audition, and an impromptu rendition of Janis Joplin's 'Piece of My Heart', Tiffany joined the 60's in 2017 and is loving every minute of it!
Steve Forrest Lead Guitar & Vocals

Steve's musical journey began in elementary school, when he hardly learned to read music and play trumpet in concerts and parades. According to Dr. Peabody, Sherman and the Way Back Machine, this was during the mid 1960's, when sounds of the British Invasion had excited the imaginations of the younger generation. At age 13, Steve got hooked on this groovy music and asked for a guitar for Christmas. Soon, he and others at school started The Obsession, a pop and rock band that performed at the Surf Nantasket, the premier South Shore venue for teens. After High School, after Bob Dylan sang "The Times, They Are a Changin", Steve let his hair grow long to look like a skinny hippie with dreadlocks. During this creative period, he wrote and performed commercial music for radio and TV ads, and original songs with HIGH BUTTON, a band that recorded on the Laurie Records label and toured regularly, playing what was called Country Rock to many crowds, large and small, throughout Maine and Canada, at fairgrounds, nightclubs and bars. Tired of travel and wanting to study music, Steve enrolled at Berklee College of Music in 1973, to happily earn a degree in Music Education and be inspired by exciting jazz fusion music and musicians of the 1970’s. After college, Steve hit the road again to play in many bands, playing many different styles of music... as a trumpeter in a disco dance band while dressed in a peach tuxedo, and as a guitarist playing the Chicken Dance in a 1980’s wedding band. More than 50 years and 5,000 gigs later, Steve is happy to return to where it started, with the music of The 60’s!
Cat Glaude Keyboard & Vocals

Catherine started her musical career playing baritone horn in a high school band. While in college, she purchased a 12 string Martin guitar and started singing and playing with others in her dorm. In the mid 90’s, Catherine formed the Jimmy Buffett tribute band Latitude Adjustment performing in southern Maine and Perdido Key, Florida. It was during this time that she began playing keyboard. Then for 14 years in Maine, Catherine was a member of a Jimmy Buffett tribute band Calypso Cowboys helping the band grow from a duet to a 8-piece classic rock status, well known by the Maine Parrotheads. In November 2009 after relocating to southern Massachusetts and listening to The Xeatles, a Beatles tribute band, perform in a local bar, she approached their drummer Dave Messinger to discuss the possibility of forming a band. This was the birth of The 60's!
Dave Messinger Percussion

Dave has been playing drums since he was 8 years old and played in several garage bands growing up in the 70’s; one of which was “The Watermelon Impression.” He was influenced by The Beatles, The Dave Clark Five, Jethro Tull, Genesis, Boston bands like The Stompers and The Atlantics and followed Buddy Rich’s classic style of drumming. Dave’s professional career took off in 1998 with The Nighshifters, a popular five piece hard driving classic rock band that played for over 5 years throughout Southeastern New England. From there he spun off with the bassist and lead guitar player Steve Macomber to form Third Degree. He then helped form Triple Play playing many venues south of Boston and on the Cape. In 2008, Dave became a member of The Xeatles.

Earl "T. B. Player" Gingras Bass & Vocals
Earl started playing music on a plastic song-flute in 3rd grade.
Concert flute, banjo-ukelele, guitar, electric-guitar were next.
He was inspired after seeing the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show.
While working a summer job, he bought his first electric bass at 16.
Continuing with HS bands then into weekend music jobs/shows, he also taught music.
He has been playing in various music circuits and in the Boston Irish music scene.
Earl has performed throughout the United States and in Canada.
Earl has a natural aptitude for all music and participated in numerous musical groups,
choirs, and is also in high demand as a substitute/fill-in.
He brings his strong background in music to every performance, as a vocalist, bassist, guitarist, and keyboardist. Besides his obsession and passion with music, he has many other, varied interests. With his parallel career in the computer field, by day he fights moving electrons as a mild-mannered computer guy. He was thrilled to hear from Steve about The 60's, and is now happy to contribute to this great group.

In Memory of Ken E. Taylor
Bass & Vocals

In May 2019, The 60’s lost a very dear friend and talented musician. Ken enthusiastically embodied the 60’s spirit, constantly surprised us with his groovy outfits, and kept us rocking with his spot-on bass lines. His favorite phrase in the English language was, "Can you please turn UP your bass?"
He is missed beyond belief.
